Money Roll
The Perfect Balance of Freshness, Creaminess, and Spice! I recently tried the money roll that completely exceeded my expectations. From the very first bite, the freshness of the salmon and the tuna was undeniable. The mackerel was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. What made this roll stand out was its incredible balance of flavors and textures. The creamy element from the avocado added a luscious richness that paired beautifully with the subtle sweetness and savory notes. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the spicy mayo kicked in, adding the perfect amount of kick to elevate each bite. Every component of this roll worked in harmony, making it an absolute delight to eat. If you love sushi that is fresh, flavorful, and has a touch of spice, this one is a must-try!
Churrasco
Nestled in the heart of town, Japaneiro's delivers a culinary experience that beautifully blends Japanese and Latin influences, but the true star of the menu is their exceptional churrasco. From the moment the plate arrived at my table, the aroma alone was enough to captivate my senses. Perfectly seasoned and expertly grilled, the churrasco was tender, juicy, and packed with smoky, rich flavors. Every bite offered a melt-in-your-mouth experience, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to high-quality ingredients and traditional preparation. The accompanying chimichurri sauce added a fresh and tangy zest that elevated the dish to another level. While the churrasco shines, the sides deserve equal praise. The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy with just the right balance of flavor, and the grilled vegetables were vibrant and perfectly charred. Fiji Roll
As an avid sushi lover, I thought I had tasted the best of the best, until I recently had the Fiji roll. Red snapper, avocado, & cream cheese in one bite seems satisfying enough, but it doesn't stop there! It is topped with a bite-sized sweet plantain which adds a burst of deliciousness. It all comes together with just the right amount of sauce. I dare you to try to eat one without moaning, "Uuuhmmm!"
Shaggy Dog
This place is over the top amazing! I lived in San Diego for several years, and still never had sushi quite as good as Japaneiro's. My finance and I highly recommend the crab puffs and the Shaggy dog
Grilled Lunch Special
I've never had a salad like the verde salad. 10/10. I usually never eat salads. Amazing!!!!
Hawaiian Roll
I love japaneiro's with a passion. The sushi rolls are so good. I also really enjoyed the ice cream roll, the dessert was great. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice to relax, especially at night. I've been multiple times and have tried multiple rolls, I can't wait to return.
Chicken Flautas
Some of the best Flautas I've ever had! First time in Sugarland, a first time at Japaneiro. I'll be coming back for more!
Dumplings
Japanieros is easily my favorite restaurant ever! I've been going to Japanieros for over 15 years and the food has consistently been delicious, the service immaculate, and I have not once had a bad experience. So that's why 15 years and moving across 3 different states later, I will always come back to Japanieros.
El Criollo
Nice roll. Little different from my usual seafood based rolls. But great. And always great food and service. Lunch special can't be beat
Crab Puffs
Amazing every time! Been coming here for years and we always get two, three orders of the crab puffs. Irresistible!!
